Thank you.N/T
The problem is that changing the system is not so easy. They will never get the votes to change it. Even the socialist party has said the monarchical system is not in question.
All is about diverting the attention of the health and economic crisis. Spain has the highest incidence of covid in Europe and the biggest reduction in BIP, but the media are only talking about King Juan Carlos. Hours and hours on TV shows talking about it. A shame!
Manuel, do you think the republicans have a realistic chance of persuading the people that the monarchy should go and Spain become a republic?
In Spain, you never know. One day, you re up and next day down.
On 12 April 1931, nobody could imagine what happened two days later. Not even the republicans.
Manuel, presuming you mean King Felipe, do you think he will survive on the throne?
Wrong. A 52 yo bearded man.
Well, now he is out of scene, who’s going to be the next prey?
Hopefully some blond gold-digger one-third his age, and not another innocent Botswana elephant!
