Bendis knows what he's writing. It's unlikely that he'll write MK the same way he wrote Avengers. I mean, the man is versatile if anything. Compare his Alias and DD with Avengers. Or better still, check out his older works like AKA Goldfish, Jinx and Torso. You'll see that the man was born to write a dark and sophisticated character like MK.
Furthermore, go way back and see Alex Maleev's work on some "The Crow" miniseries. This guy cut his teeth on dark and gritty characters. Maleev's MK will kick some serious behind if he can still channel that same grittiness that got him noticed by fans in the first place.
