Thanks for replying Peter. Yes I agree that they are probably nearly all Lupinus x Regalis outside Scotland but its just that Stace writes about them "Stems erect, usually at least sparingly branched, to 1.5m, with more than 1 inflorescence, with rather sparse short hairs." What puzzles me is where these branches are? Do the plants branch at the base?
