As far as how long to water... I suggest you dig down with a spade and see how it is doing. Different soil types will show different results. After the first 2 or 3 cycles you should have a good feel for it.
I hope this helps!

: I purchased a T-Tape kit this spring,
: installation was easy and I am happy with
: the system and results.
:
: I do have a question in regards to volume
: delivered. The manf lists the volume as .22
: gallons/hundred foot of tape @ 8 psi
: delivery pressure. The regulator you
: provided operates at about 18 psig and is
: listed as a 20 psi unit.
:
: How much additional volume will the extra 10
: psi add. I want to calculate times for
: complete watering. I have about 1700 feet
: of tape out to cover 5,000 square feet with
: a 5 gpm, 50 psi water supply. I divided the
: garden in two zones of about 850 ft of tape
: each.
:
: Also what I am seeing is just the row gets
: watered when I do water. Should I reduce
: the amount of water from what would be
: needed to cover 5,000 square feet as the
: water is being applied directly to the
: plants versus the entire garden? and if I
: do reduce the amount how much should I
: reduce it?
:
: Thanks in advance for the info.
