It is most likely a Junior Wagon Lantern, that should be stamped in the metal around the red rear lens. According to the advertisements I have here, the reflector was polished bright tin, the body color in the late 30's would probably be black enamel from the factory. Earlier ones were Japanned black finish and earlier still, Japanned blue finish.
