I have a #40 Traffic Gard marked Embury on the top and on the globe, with the pigtail handle and Embury fuel cap. It has the Dietz-style posts and the whole lantern appears to be made of copper, with the exception of the globe-guard wires and the pigtail. But even those wires have some copper running through them. I have taken it all apart and cleaned it inside-out and believe it is not plated but is solid copper, pitted in a few places but still solid. Has anyone here heard of anything like this or does anyone have any information about it?
