Hey Rick: Almost all of my lanterns are common and I prefer them as I can fire them up without worrying that it might be stolen or I am ruining some rare artifact, so I like lanterns like your two #40's that show some miles on them. I like that paint marking, what does it say on the other side of the tank? I'll guess STREET DEPT. I'm not sure how I would do it but I would want to preserve that marking when I clean the lantern.
