Bobby, I fear you may have misread that last patent date as OCT-1-10, which is for the bail retainer by Frank N. Thiel, it actually reads OCT-11-10 which is a valid date and is also stamped on another Little Star I have with a production date of S-8-28, but I haven't found any such patent related to lanterns so far, maybe this is another bogus date? The patent set on both of these reads the same.
