Well Achë it's been two weeks and hopefully you haven't had any further problems with your runaway flame in the #100 or any other mishaps. I am curious how your experience turned out. The outcome of my kerosene experience was that if I was able to keep my kerosene/oil lighting to a minimum of eight hours or less per night I saved $26.48 on my electricity bill per month. However the cost of the kerosene used during the month was about $36.00. The Bottom line; electric lighting was cheaper, and now with CFL's (I've never seen one that lasted as long promised) and LED (not true white light but does last for years) lighting it's cheaper still, however, the experience of using lighting that our previous generations had to live and work by is enlightening.
