I don't collect torches or flares, and I don't know much about them.
I bought them in a box that came with a bunch of Night Watch & No 40 lanterns from a large road construction company that had them in the back of his warehouse since the 60's or before. The owner told me what each piece was and that they all went together. I'll try to put the pieces together tomorrow to see how well they work together.
Maybe a flare collector can tell us.
