I remove the burner then I run the cord (thin one) thru the wick turner slot and around the back on the inside of the vertical. I use a 3 watt "flicker" bulb in a candelabra socket both sold at Lowes. This way the lantern can be converted back to kero in seconds and the cord is not very noticable. Very realistic look when turned on.
