I think Bobby is correct, at least most everything in my collection bears witness to the same, except a couple of streamlined models which had been painted blue tank, gold side tubes and blue crowns, a strange color scheme dated 1940 which I've seen several examples of but can't explain, has any one figured out why this color scheme came about?
