Patrick, I actually haven't seen many D-Lites marked for street/contractor use, although there are some examples marked for utilities/contractors @ www.camerasandlanterns.com/html/dietz_cold_blast.html. I think the original/streamlined Monarchs or the Little Wizard type lanterns (Little Wizard,Little Giant,No.100, No.100 specials etc.) would have, as far as Dietz lanterns were concerned, dominated the market, excepting Embury lanterns. There were also some No.2 Blizzards and Vestas in there too, but really any lantern fitted with a red globe would have served the purpose as a traffic warning signal.
Again, just my opinion, others may differ.
