As to the amber globes... The fellow in NY had essentially the world's entire NOS supply of them in the late '70s. Deitz had moved their lantern business to Hong Kong. The boss told him to "get rid of all this lanterns stuff". He purchased inventory of completed lanterns and got the parts as a bonus. He told me he used to go to the factory every Sunday afternoon and load up the station wagon until he had removed all his booty. The amber globes, 20 + cases, were destroyed in a barn fire :-(( Guess that is why they are so scarce.

The blue globes are beautiful to look at. However, they are not real useful in a kerosene lantern. Not enough blue in the flame. However, with an incandescent bulb or white LED - WOW!
