"Walter,
Yes this is definitely a darkroom lamp, it appears complete except the glass lenses and a metal tab which snaps over the button on the fuel tank to secure the top after lighting , usually I see these with at least a red lens but I've seen them with clear and amber in a set also. There were a number of manufacturers and several types of lamp bodies all sharing the same purpose, many look alike with small variations. The name C. Rogers may have been the name of a photographers supply house and it could have been made for them by another company. There might be some name or initials stamped on the wick adjustment wheel or a name on the "convex" type burner air deflector such as "Simplex" or "Dietz Convex" which may give clues to who made it. I'll post some of the photos, all won't be necessary, and maybe one of my fellow collectors might be able to identify the maker.
regards,
Willis"
How the description evolved into this is any ones guess.
