I guess my idea would be - Have a bunch of money to spend I bid one of these over $450 back about 10 years ago - and lost. The one shown below was as I recall about a hundred and a half - but not nearly as nice as the high $$$ one. Still, it is one of my top priority lanterns. The others (which I have not acquired yet) are a Feuerhand Atom and a Dietz Inspector (Little Wizard with the reflector for RR use).
Be aware that the brass fuel fonts tend to stress crack over time. I had to repair this one with Eastwood fuel tank sealer so that it would hold kerosene.
And, the "beam" which they project is actually the flame upside down, not the round spot at the end of a bright cone as shown in the movies. Still a neat lantern to have.
