Actually the double orbital globe wires were a feature that is pretty much confined to the 1880's. The single orbital globe wire was likewise a 1890's feature. The globe retaining spring-wire, attached to the crown, was invented in 1890 by Charles Erb and was assigned as a patent to Dietz and S.G.&L. in 1893. There is very little information on Winfield Manufacturing of Warren, Ohio, but I would date this lantern 1895-1905. All Winfield globes should glow in the dark under black light.
