I should take a walk one day over to the Long Beach Airport 2 blocks from me and ask security if I can take a look on the runways for some bent lanterns. I know back in WWII they use highway torches to mark their airfields on some of the islands for night landings. I'll have to check my inventory of lanterns to see if I have an airport lantern. Maybe I will just bend one over and tell some good lies. I can think of some big time stories.
