I was sitting here tonight looking at several Embury Lanterns. Among them 2 No. 2 Air Pilots and a No. 350. These three all have most if their original paint in good condition. They are all painted a light metallic green, and all three are a very different light metallic green. I am curious if anyone has any idea why the colors are so different. The difference does not appear to be fade or weathering. Was Embury not picky about getting the exact same color from batch to batch or did the color change with production date, or is there some other answer? I'm sorry if this is general knowledge for oldtimers, but I'm still new to this, so please bear with me.

Does anyone know a good color match in modern paint or do I need to haunt the auto parts stores looking for a 1963 Mercury Mint Green Metallic?
