hi i recently purchased a little supreme no 150 lantern. i don't know anything about lanterns. i purchased it because i'm a boston police officer and this has "boston police" printed on it around the base. on the other side of the base it says little supreme no 150. it appears to be in good condition, globe is in tact, no dents, there is rust on it, but other than that it looks good. i'm just curious if i should refinish it or leave it alone, meaning with i devalue it if i try to remove the rust. i would also like to try to find out roughly what year this was made. i did a little research and found out that this model was made betwen 1916 adn 1947, but was wondering if there is a way to pin point a closer date. any help would be appreciated. and if anyone knows of any other lanterns that were manufactured for the boston police i would be intereted.
