The price you paid is a tad above the highest market price that I have seen, 5 years ago, when I first started watching them. Back then, a small fill Blizzard didn't go above $100 unless it had the original Blizzard globe. There are many factors at work here. Back then, there were 400 tubular lanterns a week listed for auction. This has declined steadily ever since, to the current level of 60-80 lanterns a week. Less availability means a lot of lanterns have increased in price while others have fallen below previous market levels. The current decline in the economy has made it a buyer's market, where more pre-1920 Blizzards have been auctioned this past year than in the 3 previous years combined. Now that i have seen these other details, i think it has a place in my Blizzard Production Matrix, so you will at least get your reserve. BB
