I have the same lamp. I used just normal WD40 on the hinge, around the edges of the cap, and around the burners edge. I let the oil sit with the lamp for over 48 hours but everything is now opening and closing fine. When you go to remove the burner you should pull straight up using the wings on the burner around the wick. A globe that will fit your lamp should be 4" x 3" on top and 2.5" on the bottom. Sometimes they are advertised as E with sunburst and/or No.10 above the E. The globe I have is red. If you get wicks to replace your lamp try to make sure that the threads are strong enough for the teeth that move the wick.
