Thanks Rick! This illustrates the reason I asked for this view. The previous Royal versions had either the inner ring or the outer ring reinforcement on the bottom, but this has both. I have been expecting to find this type bottom on the Royal because of my study of the Monarch. The Royal is made of the same parts as the Monarch, except for the fount which is made for a No.2 burner and has a different but similarly transitioning target bottom pattern. I would appreciate any patent dates or portions of the patent dates that you can read on the center tube. This may require a little work with the steel wool on your part. If you can determine only how many patents it had - that would still be helpful.
