If Dietz paid anything to Pritchard, they should have fired their patent attorney. Putting a D-Lite globe bell on a Blizzard makes no improvements to the globe retaining and draft tube function common to all the cold blasts. The Pritchard patent is all about attaching (or engaging) the bell to the wicket globe plate wires, improving on the previous design for this by Berger. I think if Dietz was serious about this usage, they would file their own patent, like Embury did in 1936 when they copied the Pritchard (Patent 1912) standing bail connection.
