Rick, the important patent information is in the patent system and seldom has anything to do with the dates that appear on a lantern. New details were generally in production at the time of patent application. Many makers stamped random dates that are not patents at all. The extensive patent sets used on Dietz lanterns were changed randomly to mark production runs. BB
