Amber is a 20th century color, most are post-1930. They sell at prices greater than green/teal and less than cobalt blue, in general; however globe markings have a greater effect on the value. Amber is also the easiest color to fake. If you have a Dietz amber globe and the Dietz logo is embossed in the glass, you have a valuable globe. If the Dietz logo is painted-on, then you have a cheap repro made in China.
