Hi All, Also on the Embury #25,#225,#500 lanterns they all have a baffle inside the tank were the wick slides down into. This could be so the wick is only feed just enough kerosene to keep it burning and prevents it from flooding the wick from being moved from one place to another especialy the #225 that is a truck marker light that has the bracket to mount on the side of trucks. Also some Dietz lanterns like the square tank and round tank 8-day have the baffle in the center. The square tank non marked Hy-Lo has the baffle also. Check your lanterns. Very interesting. Steve.
