When Dietz moved to Hong Kong in 1956 they sent the old style tooling. Dietz Hong Kong and later Dietz PRC lanterns added the new numbers 1, 10, 20, 80 and 90 on their versions of the Little Wizard, Monarch, Junior, D-Lite and Blizzard. I consider them all to be replicas because they use lighter gauge materials. The Hong Kong lanterns have their origin embossed into the bottom or on the lid. The PRC lanterns just have a sticker on the bottom. Anyway, the numbers are the give-away that a lantern is Chinese. BB
