Got Mr Tweets a mirror

He likes it. But, it has to be somewhere he's not eating in front of it, for some reason.

He doesn't get really close to it, but he sings and chirps to it... it's close to me on a table.

He still sings to my shoes, and to Solomon. He's still not liking hands, though, once in a blue moon he will let me pet him with my pinky finger...

All in all, since he's an old bird, I think the mirror is entertaining for him, and not something he's obsessed with.

Cookie likes mirrors, too. I believe they figure out it’s their own reflection, but it’s still fun to play with.

Yes, LOL But, he's never nipped it hard. He will nip fingers a little hard, but has never drawn blood, and lightly nips my nose if I hit a pinfeather.

I have been wanting to chime in here, but have been working from home.
Anyway, Bailey sounds a lot like Mr. Tweets!
He LOVED his mirror and it gave him so much comfort. As well, he loved ANY mirror in the house! He was always like that and I felt such guilt over the years as I repeatedly read that, by allowing him one I was blocking him from bonding with me. Still, my gut told me that I was doing the right thing FOR HIM. Turns out, this was the best thing in the long run after he became an only bird. I now feel certain that I did was best.
Now...onto the "Nose Snuggling": That was my Snickers! This was the our thing: Neither of my Boyz liked hands and Snickers was the one who allowed snuggles of any kind...but only this way. I admit to blaming myself over the years for this as I felt that (Dare I say this here?) birds should be birds and fully flighted. For the first part of their lives, they were. Later on, it became a safety issue for us and clipping happened off and on.
So...it seems that Mr. Tweets and you and my Boyz and me had similar experiences!
Oh, and no: My nose was never bitten, lol.

I believe in being fully flighted also. And I believe that there ae two definer type of birds, the type that loves people and accepts them as part of their family as well as other birds and the type that only really loves other birds>. I've had both types. Poor Max is the type that only loves birds and he the only one remaining. In my other apartment they spent 13 years allowed out in the bedroom at all times. When I moved here I let them out only when I was home. Max for some reason was easy to train. He goes in the cage by himself most of the time by 2:00 He then naps and preens himself. He used to go on top of the armor with Dorian for all day and tear apart a cardboard box. Now he just sit on top of his cage. Oh well.
I'm going to get his a mirror and see if he likes it.

Let us know how Max responds to a mirror.

It worked for Bailey and our situations seem really similar.
Here's hoping it helps Max to not be as lonely as he seems/is.
