Mr Tweets' new thing

If I leave the bird room door open, and have to go pee he will fly into the bathroom and land on my head. He wills tay there until I finish, wash hands, and go back into the bird room.

The bathroom is right next to the bird room.

He will also do that if I brush my teeth. I close the bird room when I take a bath. Don't want him on my head while I bathe!

He loves you, but I get that it can be too much, especially when it comes to perching on your head when you are trying to shower/bathe.

They are so funny, developing these new things out of the blue...or seemingly.

HIs pal Riley passed away, and he's the only bird here without a cage mate. So I'm his companion. Therefore, I'm supposed to be available 24/7 for him, LOL!

I don't mind. I'll even stop at the mirror to let him see himself .

Riley passed away last year, and now Tweets doesn't have a companion with feathers, so He's gradually accepting me as his companion. He's always close by. Today, he let me scritch his head with 1 finger! Only for a few seconds... He still doesn't trust hands.

Since Riley passed away, I'm his companion. He still doesn't like hands, isn't cuddly, but he wants me there all the time.

Though, tonight, he came up, chewed my fingernail, then bowed his head and allowed a brief finger scritch. Then he nipped me! LOL Progress!
