Are there any updates on your son? Was he able to have teh second surgery? How is he doing?

I'm glad he's home and recouping. Hope his recovery is pain free and speedy.

Thank you so much for asking. He actually had to have 3 surgeries and was in hospital for 3 weeks.. one surgery each week. He is home now just got his cast off this week and will start therapy Monday. His right hand is still numb but dr pretty confident he will get the feeling back. Baby steps but most important he is still here.

Thanks for the update and yes, baby steps. Glad he is home even if he is slowly getting there.

I hope he's using his hands and able to tend to himself and feel better really fast. Tell him, at first it seems like things will never feel normal again, that he isn't making progress... but one day he will notice he's doing some things and not even noticing how normal it feels... and it gets better from there. The frustration at first is to be expected. But, when they let him start lifting more, or doing more, it gets better.
