Fly traps

Bird screen was slightly open and now there are flies in their room. What is safe to use in their room. I was thinking of using fly tape hanging from the bottom of their cage.

No. Nothing sticky. Too easy to have an accident and a bird get stuck to it. You can slightly open the screen when the birds are safely in their cages... turn the lights off, make it dark. The flies should go to the light and get back outside.

Vinegar and Dish Soap Trap:

A simple and effective method for fruit flies. Fill a jar or glass with apple cider vinegar and add a few drops of dish soap to break the surface tension. The smooth sides of the glass prevent flies from escaping.

Seesthru, gave me a good idea. I put the sticky flytrap into a miniature cage. That way the birds can't get near it.

I was thinking the same thing. I have a suet holder and I could put it in there and place under their cage.
