I have my computer on my lap and Max won't get off of it. I want to go out for a walk but I can't. I don't want to force him to his cage because this is such a big break through. He was actually sitting on my chest for a while.

But I really can't stay like this.

I moved my hand over to him to try to get him to fly to his cage. He flew on top of my head instead. Like I said I wish this wasn't such a Hugh breakthrough.

I know what you mean. It's huge, it's a really big deal! Congratulations to you and to Max! Hopefully with a little more time, you will get him to understand when it's time to go into his cage for a bit to let you stretch your legs or do errands. This is so exciting!

I can only tell this board what I do for this bird. Everyone else would think I'm completely nuts.

LOL! Here, we know it's a huge deal, when you have a breakthrough with a bird. I can't wait to see what Max does next!

In the winter it was easier. He would go inside his cage a lot more so I can shut the door and go out. Now with Spring it's a totally different story.

Diane, your story is making me smile and think about my Herbie. He used to sit on my feet and try to make out with my big toes. I didn't dare disturb him. It is an inconvenience at times. All I can really say is for you to sit back and enjoy the time with Max. You won't regret it.
