The Birbs

It is such a foggy, rainy and gloomy day today. The birds were so quiet. So I tuned on their light, their music and bird sounds and they all perked up. So nice to hear them chatting.

It'a thundery and gloomy here, too. I"m getting ready to turn the light sup, and put some noise on, too! Glad your birbs are doing well!

We're supposed to have a line of strong, severe storms move through tonight starting at 8:00 p.m. But yesterday was a nice sunny day. I find that I love listening to mockingbirds go through their repetoire of bird calls. Some of the calls sound like words to me. Jimmy, Jimmy. Pretty, pretty. And the quiet peeps of the finches.

yesterday we got over 6 inches of rain. It was pouring. Lots of street flooding and a Dillards store in the mall had rain coming down it
s stairs inside, liek a waterfall.

Today we had a line of storms, but not too severe here, and it blew past us in about 15 minutes

6 inches? That's a lot. I'm seriously thinking of getting flood insurance before the summer. But I don't know if federal flood insurance even exists anymore.

I haven't a clue. Lucky for my area, we drain fast.
