The Birbs

They are free flight in their own room 24/7 and every day I let them out for about 4 hours to roam/fly the house freely. I put a cardboard box in their room to chomp on. But now that the days are getting longer there has been fighting so I removed the box from their room and keep it on the living room floor.

I'm jealous when I look at that photo. I reminds me of how things were before I moved 2-1/2 years ago (except I never let them out of the bedroom except for Willo). Max comes out of his cage in the morning and then goes back in early in the afternoon. Right after Dorian passed I thought he might get used to me (he was flying to me and actually sat on my head). But now no. I miss Dorian and I guess so does Max. Cockatels are really flock animals and it's so sad for me to watch him totally alone.

Shiloh was very content being the only bird. I was her flock. Many times solo tiels see their mom or dad as their flock.
