About Juanita.

I spoke to her this evening. She's fine, and her boys are fine. Her voice sounds good and strong.

Juanita was very sick. She ran a high fever she says, for days. She didn't say what kind of sickness, or anything else.

Unfortunately, after getting better, she has no memory of Tiel Chat. She's still in the process of getting beter and better, but she does not remember Tiel Chat. Not yet, anyway.
If you know about very high fevers, you know, this can happen.

I told her we were all worried, and that she is the heart of this board. She was surprised to know she's the heart of this board, and that we worry about her.

She says, let everyone know, she is fine and her boys ( Michael and Cinni) are fine, too..

What we can do, is pray her memory comes back soon, and that she's back posting her wonderful poems and uplifting words again before long.

OMG that's terrible. I'm glad she feels better and I hope she gets her memory back soon. I can't even imagine.

I am so sorry that this has happened to her. She will be in my prayers. Hoping in the future we will again see a post of her inspiring words. Miss you Juanita.

Thank you so much seesthru for reaching out to her. I'm so glad that she sounds good and that her beloved boys are fine, too. I miss her.

I did a quick search on high fevers and memory issues. One article said that hyperthermia (heat stroke/heat exhaustion) can cause a high fever, although that may not be the case with her. Lord knows Florida had high temps this summer. The info also said that there is a possibility that her memory will fully come back.

She never said what caused the fever. I do hope she gets her memory back and soon.

I didn't ask her that. I'm assuming she doesn't. If she did, she would probably see all of her bookmarks and poems and things, and I'm betting that Tiel Chat would be the first bookmark she has.

No, she doesn't remember me. She was very polite, but confused about why everyone is so worried about her. I didn't keep her on the phone long.

I did ask her about her birds by name, hopefully to keep her at ease about talking to me, and told her how much we think of her, how wonderful her poems and words of encouragement and poems of comfort mean to all of us.

Even if she doesn't remember us, I do want her to know, she still is the heart of the board here.

I'm sad she does not remember you. Hopefully she will regain her memory in the near future. She is the heart of the board here. I miss her.

Not the greatest of news, but, like Cathy, I Googled high fevers and memory loss.

I wasn't aware.

I don't know what caused the high fever. She didn't say. But she said it was a very high fever.

I'll continue to keep her and her boys and family in my prayers. I don't want to overspeculate the situation without facts. But she is a very special soul and is dearly missed.
