Questions about bottle brush

I received my bottle brush last week, however it is drying out and the leaves are very dried up, is this normal for a florida plant that this happens in fall? I thought they are an evergreen. Anyway I am returning it but am taking cuttings and will try to propagate it. Any suggestions?

No suggestions, I'm not a plant person, LOL! All I can figure is the roots are damaged, teh soil is too dry, or it's lacking nutrients.

Same here. I have a friend who knows a LOT about plants, though. If I remember I can ask her.

The plant got all dried up. I took about 10 cuttings and only one is still alive. I was able to return it, they even came and picked it up. I'll keep you updated on the 1 surviving cutting.

I spoke with my friend last night but she doesn't know anything about bottle brush plants. I watch Growing a Better Garden on PBS on Saturdays and it's absolutely amazing how many different plants, trees and flowers there are.
