Bottlebrush plant

I bought this plant for my birds. It is safe but it grows only down south. I will try to keep it in the bird room with grow lights.

No, but I was looking at getting one in the spring to plant outside the apartment.

It has arrived, but I am wondering if I should spray it down in case they used pesticides. What do you think Seethru?

I think that would be a great idea. Maybe spray it down, let it dry, spray it again. Put rocks in the pot, to keep the birds from trying to eat the dirt. Trust me on that one, my birds always tried to eat the dirt. LOL!

I was thinking of putting moss over the soil. Looking on Amazon and found different variaties. Any recommendations?
