That is so cute. Why do budgies like getting into tight places like that? Years ago I was at a chain pet store that sold budgies. They were in a setup that had a window that you could look through but it was big and had a regular door. It was a giant bird cage. Well the side of it had an extension that housed a drop ceiling with fluorescent lights covered with a light cover, which was actually the roof of a plexiglass cage. There weren't any animals in it, though. Somehow a bunch of the budgies had found a way from the bird room into the space above the drop ceiling. They'd wiggled through but couldn't get back to the bird area on their own. They were all over the place. I had to go get the bird department employee and let her know the situation.
