Our (16 yr old male white faced) tiel Cookie loves the view from the fourth floor window of a hotel! Our air conditioner died and we’ve had to find a cool place to spend the nights as the house got up to about 90 degrees. Cookie seemed ok but we were suffering. He’s eating now, but has been gazing out the window for about an hour. He’s the best entertainment in here. Haven’t even turned on the TV.

AC is supposed to be fixed tomorrow but it was supposed to be fixed yesterday or today, too. I hope this time they show up prepared to fix it permanently. Last week’s shot of refrigerant didn’t even last 2 days. The nights we toughed it out, required sleeping with ice bags, wet towels, and fans on high, and we still couldn’t get cool enough to sleep until dawn. At dawn the house was about 81 which felt nice in comparison.

We’ve gone back to the house mornings and stay until it’s unbearable, then head for the hotel. Cookie is getting used to the routine and now realizes we’re not always going to the vet. I wish we’d had this 4th storey room the whole time. Cookie loves it.
