Three losses in the past few months. Hurricane the budgie, Riley Tiel, and Rico Quaker. Hurricane had Cancer, Riley was elderly and I think it was his time... and Rico too, was elderly, his illness was too much for him.


It's very difficult. But, my flock is old, except for 2 of the budgies, and I know, goodbyes are going to come sooner rather than later. So, though sad, I am still trying to capture each moment I have with them in my heart, so the memories one day will bring smiles.


Sorry I've been quiet. I am also dealing with the post-surgery restrictions and the aggravation of this bandaged hand. It's giving me more pain than the other one did. I'm okay, but distracted. Tonight I'm doing cleanup in the room here. After I pet Tweets with my nose again. He's a weirdo. But any way I can pet him, I will.
