Afterward, for a few months, I'd get in bed, but still be wide awake, and I'd feel him hop on the foot of the bed, walk up the bed, and plop down inbetween my knees. It was so real, I'd reach down to pet him. I think it was a way of comforting me, and letting me know he was okay. That was how it started. After that few months, it gradually faded away.
It's happened since then, with the birds, and my Mom. Different signs, or in my Mom's case, a clear "Hi Lisa" in her voice, as loud as if she were standing in the room with me.
Usually it's more subtle than those two instances... but it's always clear to the person being given the sign.
Yeah, it sounds kooky. I'd never have believed it either, but it happened to me. Many times.
