My apartments are Senior Apartments which require annual testing of fire alarms.
That happened a week ago, Monday and I had to stick close to Bailey's cage and keep talking to him and whistling, etc. since he was absolutely terrified until they stopped.
Cathy, I seriously considered rescuing/fostering (still think about it) but, like Diane, my apartment is not bird-friendly and it is really too small for two birds. At Bailey's age I don't want to move him since here he has familiarity. After 8 years, I can give him that. He has those pesky aging issues (like me, lol).
