If Shiloh were ....

still alive there's a good possibility that she would have perished Friday. The neighbor on the other side of me passed away in June and the unit is being demoed. I don't know if it's the family doing it or if it was sold. There was a horrible very loud banging Thursday morning coming from that unit. When I came out to go to work, the door to the unit was open and a construction guy said a nice hello. I looked in and hazarded a guess that the sheet rock/drywall was coming off and he verified it, said that they were demoing. I mentioned how loud it was and he said that it was almost done. Fast forward to getting home Friday night. I nearly passed out. I was horrified. The place was full of fumes, ethylene glycol I think it was, from the mudding process, obviously. It was just hanging in the air. I opened the sliding glass doors and set a fan up in the hallway pointing at the exterior door and set out a large bowl of vinegar. That really helped. I have an open living space. If you use a divider you can make the area by the hall the living room (which I do) and the area away from the hall the dining room (which I do). The fumes seemed contained to the living room area and hallway and Shiloh might have been okay but I really have my doubts. The next day, Saturday, the fumes were gone. But that's really bad that the fumes came through the wall to my side. Cathy
