Thanks all for the welcomes and waves. Currently my birds are these half dozen hummers that visit my feeders daily. I'm religious about keeping feeders clean, and food ( one part white table sugar to 4 parts water) fresh. Our visitors currently include: buff bellied hummers, ruby throated, and black chinned. Though few years ago my husband and I spotted a pure white hummer feeding on the trumpet flowers near our garage. That was SO awesome! We had just started putting out feeders less than a week prior to that. We have yet to see her come back but we seem to have few regulars that have returned from prior years. They peer in the windows over empty feeder spots if we are slow to put them out. Like " excuse me, I'm here, where's the food?". We even had buff female look in window and clue in my hubby that feeder had fallen. He looked at her an said well go eat...and took double take. Oh crap! The window feeder was gone. They are so smart and funny. Coming up to window and peering inside, watching us, watching them. 😊 Anyway...I'll end this with hopes that everyone is staying cool and comfortable in these hot temps.
