Crows and rabbits ...

Yesterday morning at my place I saw a crow swooping low and then back up a number of times. I couldn't figure out what he was doing but then a wild rabbit came into view. For a moment I thought that they were playing but the crow was chasing after the rabbit. It wasn't a baby and it wasn't hurt. I thought maybe a mama rabbit drawing the crow's attention away. So I googled if crows were rabbit predators. They aren't, as a rule. Their beaks and claws aren't as strong as raptors but they will prey on baby rabbits and hurt and injured adult rabbits. The article said what they do do is for 2 or 3 of them to bedevil a healthy adult to drive it into a road so that it will be hit and killed. Cathy
