They are free flighted al the time in the bedroom, but this bedroom is tiny. They sleep either on a perch that's on the outside of the cage or inside the cage. For the cage heaters I've seen is that the birds have to be basically on top of it to get warm. It takes my birds forever to get used to anything new. Because the room is so small I don't want to put a regular heater in it. I have blinds on the window I'll get curtains to put over them. That should be one half degree. It sounds like 73 or 74 degrees sound perfect. I'm only a couple of degrees off,. I don't think my bedroom could handle 1500 watts (the wattage of most heaters), I'll keep looking.
