I know how it feels. I had a care giver who was taking over everything in my house and the instant she came in the door she was messing up our routine. They were getting into everything in my house. That Jamie was spending most of the day investigating more mischief to get into. Sitting on the medicine cabinet over the toilet, by the mirror in the bathroom, by the microwave looking at himself, sitting on the radio and coffee pot in the kitchen. She would not put newspaper in the cage in small portions of about 6 sheets folded in a way that would keep seed from falling all over the floor. and placed in a way I could get it in and out easily. She refused to mop the floor from June until I succeeded to get Family Care to replace her in September. She would be here for 5 to 6 hours but do very little work and would suddenly vanish out of the house and I would have to text her or call her on the phone to find out what she was doing or not doing. Mork and Jamie the cockatiels spend most of the day with the new care givers in the cages all 3, Tweeter the budgie and the two tiels together. Jamie missed Georgie a lot after he died a few years back at about 23. Now they are becoming fast friends. Mork sleeps in his own cage at night and the two tiels are spending a lot of time together now, finding places on cabinets and in containers and woven baskets to hang out in together, or in my bedroom hanging out together with me. Tweeter comes in to join them too. He sits on my head, the other two have many favorite spots.
