Regarding what to do with your birds during a showing of your coop, i have seen several episodes on TV where people are showing their homes and all the birds were in their cages and they all seemed very calm. I think leaving them in their cages before a showing would be less stress for them and you. I would speak to your realtor before you start showing and let him know you have birds and ask him to let potential buyers know in advance about the birds and let them know they shouldn't be approached. You just never know what strangers might do not knowing how afraid and nervous some birds are. I know if strangers were coming in my house and approached my Cinni, it would freak him out. Perhaps your birds are not nervous around strangers but I still think asking a realtor to let a buyer know ahead of time would help.
