I have to say, it was probably her heart. For her to just give out so fast, after being around, eating, active, perky, not one sign of illness. She was chomping on her bread, and her millet, and had wandered around a bit, then settled into her spot with Joshua for a snuggle...
When I came back up to check her, she was already gone. So quick, so quiet, eyes closed like she had passed away while she was cuddling with Joshua.
I've left her up there for a bit. Joshua is blind. he can't SEE that she's passed. But he's not calling for her, not crying out.. He might know.
TC Girl was at least 20 according to the avian vet, possibly more. I think, it was simply her time. I have to think it was her heart. She was active today, perky, eating, doing all her normal things, and then in the minute or two I wasn't looking she simply passed.
Unfortunately, the picture I have of her isn't great. She's under Rico's cage, was headed for her mattress when I snapped it. I had so many other pics of her, but they've been lost when Photobucket started charging, then the ones i saved got lost in a computer crash.. She was so beautiful, a lutino pearl girl, the sun kissed gold specks on her shoulders, the yellow feathers. The picture doesn't show how beautiful she was.
TC was feisty, but gentle, quiet , but so active. She was and always will be, an angel.
Fly Free TC, you beautiful Angel.
